water cure The Christmas workshop and court kitchen at Ligges Farm have been busy for days. The reason for this is the opening of this year’s Christmas market. The starting signal for this will be given on Sunday 13th November at 11:00.
There are Christmas flowers in the Christmas barn until December 23,
Delicious gifts from local cuisine and countless other gift ideas. “Be it decorative, atmospheric or modern items. I am convinced that we have something nice in our program for every taste”, says Ute Ligges.
Many products for the upcoming Advent season come directly from nature. Above all, pine trees are used in many ways, for example as branches or wreaths. Pine cones are also popular for decoration. This season’s trends include Boho-style Advent wreaths with pampas grass and dried flowers, which put a visual highlight on the Christmas season.
In addition to classic colors, the exhibition also has many new impulses in terms of color schemes. From Scandinavian touches to golden sparkles, the coldest days of the year can be made even more beautiful with lots of warm tones.
Preparations are also in full swing in the court kitchen. Pumpkin jam, among other things, is currently being made here as a delicious souvenir. Customers can also look forward to fresh pumpkin pie and pumpkin waffles in the coming weeks.
There will also be culinary excitement on November 16 from 3 to 6 p.m., when Emily Gordon of Emily’s Chocolaterie & Kucherei will bring Christmas tartlets, pralines and pumpkin cinnamon chocolate. Sigrid Buschmann and the rural women’s team 4Ma(h)l will be guests on November 19 from 11.30 to 15.00 at the Ligges farm. Christmas dishes with pumpkin and potatoes are on the menu of the day.
After very good demand in 2021, on the second weekend in Advent there will be fresh organic Christmas trees from Sauerland in Wasserkurl. “Since the demand for it is so high, we are now offering customers the opportunity to have a tree reserved now,” says Ute Ligges.
