The construction of the new logistics center, including all trades, was completed on schedule for delivery on July 15. Andreas Löckmann, head of the construction department at Horn Grundbesitz KG: “Despite the challenges in terms of delivery difficulties and unstable weather during the construction phase, the construction was completed on time. It is a special moment for us to be able to deliver it to Mode Logistical. The project was a great success for us, not only because of the good cooperation with the city.”
The logistics center on Sany Allee in Bedburg has a usable area of around 76,000 m² and is characterized, among other things, by an energy-efficient design. The sustainability claim is particularly evident in the rooftop photovoltaic system, which produces sustainable electricity for self-consumption. The project has been registered for gold certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
With the new location, the logistics company is investing in optimizing the supply chain. In this way, it will further strengthen the stationary trade of the Düsseldorf fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg, so that the outlets can offer exactly the goods they need locally at all times. In this context, Mode Logistik for the P&C group of companies will in the future handle all goods processing for the sales points connected to the location in the new logistics center in Bedburg. Thus, the fashion company is consolidating the central functions at the Bedburg location in order to further increase their efficiency.
